This was always a laid back island for relaxing and learning the island way of “no worries”
Now it has become so much richer for me as I learned of their history and their indigenous people the Arawak. At first I was horrified of their history just like all native peoples conquered by European nations, and as I spoke to one of the native people and they explained the their national motto to me “Out of many, One people.” I gained such a deep respect and admiration for them and I love visiting them. Martial law or not. Please climb Dunn falls if you ever find yourself on this wonderful island.
